History of the Oak

We would like to introduce you all to the former landlady here at the pub, Eliza Beard. She ran things here for over 60 years after her and her husband took the license in 1869. Unfortunately her husband passed away shortly afterwards and she continued to keep everything tied down. What a wonderful lady she must have been. Below are some newspaper articles written about the place while she was here and some fantastic photos.
